But below are seven of our gins that get us excited.

The gins that have our taste buds tingling, tongues wagging and reaching for the tonic.

Sure, we have our go-to tipples, the every day favourites and those we like to sip straight up. But the seven gins below offer something new.

Something a little different.

So we thought we’d give you a quick low-down on seven unique gins and their perfect serves:

Butchers Gin and Tonic


NAME: Butcher’s Gin
AKA: The Original Meat Liquor
KEY INFORMATION: Based on the flavours of the award-winning Secreto 07 dry-aged beef, the spices and seven secret herbs that make Secreto 07 beef so darn special are macerated before gin distillation.
FUN FACT: Also includes a little dried meat. Yep. Really.
PERFECT SERVE: Unless you plan a flight to Europe, the perfect partner is a Schwepps pink pepper tonic which is currently unavailable in the UK. We find it goes brilliantly with Fentiman’s tonic, a few drops of lemon juice, whiff of black pepper and fresh basil. So good.


NAME: Whittaker’s Gin
AKA: Yorkshire in a bottle
KEY INFORMATION: An artisan, small batch spirit which reflects the Yorkshire countryside. Handcrafted at the family home in the heart of North Yorkshire, Whittaker's Gin is distilled using local botanicals and fresh natural water from Harewell House Farm grounds
FUN FACT: Two of the botanicals used include Whortleberries and spicy Bog Myrtle from the Yorkshire moors.
PERFECT SERVE: Use a lightly flavoured tonic such as those from Double Dutch, around 50:50 to the gin, plenty of ice and garnish with a few juniper berries and a sprig of thyme.


Langley's No.8 Gin and Tonic


NAME: Langley’s No. 8
AKA: Top secret English gin
KEY INFORMATION: A gin that is as English as can be, Langley’s is made with 100% English spirit which is then blended with eight secret botanicals and handcrafted in super small batches delivering a more neutral, balanced profile.
FUN FACT: Gold medal winners at the top three gin awards.
PERFECT SERVE: Researched and developed over 10 months, add 50ml of Langley’s over ice and pour 150ml tonic water, with a wedge of fresh pink grapefruit and a sprig of one or two fresh whole basil leaves to garnish. The garnish enhances the citrus and peppery notes of the gin.



NAME: King of Soho
AKA: London-inspired, London-distilled, London Dry Gin
KEY INFORMATION: Distilled using traditional methods in a steel pot still, this super premium gin is bespoke, smooth and full-bodied. A complex addition to the market, the gin is crafted with twelve botanicals to create a unique flavour profile.
FUN FACT: The King of Soho gin was created as a tribute to the original 'King of Soho' Paul Raymond by his son Howard.
PERFECT SERVE: Fill a glass with ice cubes, pour in 50ml of the gin and top up with chilled tonic water. Garnish with a slice of pink grapefruit to complement the gin’s citrus notes.


Jinzu Gin and Tonic


NAME: Jinzu
AKA: A Japanese-inspired Gin and Sake hybrid
KEY INFORMATION: The Gin element of Jinzu is distilled with Japanese-inspired botanicals, including cherry blossom and yuzu lemon along with more traditional botanicals. It is then blended with Sake to create a smooth and creamy spirit that is slightly sweet.
FUN FACT: Jinzu is also the name of a river in Japan that flows past 1,000 cherry trees.
PERFECT SERVE: Mix up a Jin & Tonic with Jinzu, Fever-Tree tonic and a slice of green apple.



NAME: Pickering’s 1947 Gin
AKA: A decadent trip back to the last days of the Raj.
KEY INFORMATION: The Pickering's 1947 edition is made precisely to the original discovered recipe, as it was written down at Mount Mary, Bombay in 1947.Here, the botanical mix includes cinnamon, which adds a decidedly warming and spicy kick to the spirit, differing from Pickering's Gin which tweaks the original recipe to suit a more contemporary palate.
FUN FACT: The original 1947 gin recipe was handed to Pickering’s founder Marcus’s family in Bombay more than 60 years ago. The recipe is now framed and hanging on the walls of the distillery at the back of the Summerhall arts hub in Edinburgh.
PERFECT SERVE: Best with ice, tonic and a wedge of lime rather than lemon to complement the cinnamon spice. For a more warming drink, substitute tonic water for ginger ale.


Greenall's Gin and Tonic


NAME: Greenall’s London Dry Gin
AKA: 250 years of perfection
KEY INFORMATION: Greenall's is the Original London Dry Gin having used the same recipe for over 250 years, and their distillery believed to be the oldest in the UK. Combining eight botanicals from all over the world, including Moroccan coriander, Spanish lemons and Tuscan juniper, Greenall's makes a refreshing, smooth drink with a flavour-filled finish.
FUN FACT: Greenall's Master Distiller, Joanne Moore is the custodian of the original, secret Greenall’s London Dry Gin recipe and is one of only seven since 1761.
PERFECT SERVE: A Greenall’s Original London Dry Gin and tonic is the classic British cocktail. Balance the gin’s gentle citrus notes with a quinine heavy, bitter tonic such as 1724 for a refreshing drinking refreshing experience.
